Overall, this format seeks to offer swimmers the best possible chance for swimming success during the course of the meet. And swimmers are indeed amply rewarded for their hard work and determination, with 1st through 3rd place medals given to all age groups, a unique touch in a swimming scene that normally only recognizes Junior and Senior finals categories.

Awards will also be given to the top male and female performers and the top Visiting Club. Finally, because coaches, parents, and officials deserve to be part of the action, a Referees Challenge Cup will also be awarded — with the distance and stroke to be decided upon on the day! Behind the Plymouth Leander team is a solid group of major partners and sponsors, upon whom the spotlight will also shine during the meet.

At the National Qualifiers, we want to organize a partnership event that will give our partners an opportunity to showcase their faculties and the city of Plymouth itself. Swimzi will set up shop during the meet weekend to feature its latest products for athletes and spectators alike.

Each participating team is requested to provide at least one volunteer official for the meet, allowing for increased camaraderie on deck. While the fees charged are part of the essential lifeblood to allow us to continue to invest in the coaching professionals we attract to the sport, we always strive to deliver the best customer experience we possibly can, given the resources at our disposal.

The strategic placement of the competition during the final weekend available to qualify for summer Nationals is predicted to result in a surge of new participants. Think of international sporting centres of excellence and you might imagine them based in major cities like London, New York or Tokyo.

After Plymouth's Life Centre opened in earlywith its 50m pool and Olympic-standard diving facilities, the medals followed. Just a mile away is Plymouth College, an independent school with a history of sporting success and a partnership that is attractive to swimmers from around the world.

The year-old will compete in six events on Australia's Gold Coast and balances sport with his A-Level studies as a boarder at Plymouth College.

Having competed in the 50m butterfly at last year's World Championships, he has since changed his focus after moving to Devon. Former Olympic and world breaststroke champion Ruta Meilutyte, current world 50m butterfly champion Ben Proud and world diving champion Tom Daley all studied at the school, as well as England rugby union player Henry Slade.
